GUY PAINCHAUD

President and Director

As Eolectric’s president since the company’s foundation in 2001, Guy Painchaud oversees strategic policies, development, partner relationships and financing of the company’s activities.

Actively involved for close to 15 years in the development of wind energy, Guy enjoys a worldwide reputation as a wind energy expert and as Canadian leader of that industry. Guy has in this capacity orchestrated multiple studies and feasibility projects on wind-power sites. Co‑developer of RETScreen®, an application used in assessing renewable energy projects, Guy served for four years on the board (and for one year as chair) of the Canadian Wind Energy Association. Over the course of his career, Guy has worked as an energy research engineer at CANMET and as an energy specialist at the Centre de recherche industrielle du Québec (CRIQ), at the Commissariat à l’Énergie Atomique de France and at Imatran Voima Oy in Finland.

With a BS in Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from Laval University (1986), an MS in Mechanical Engineering (specializing in wind energy) from the University of Massachusetts (1988) and an MBA from McGill University (1996), Guy Painchaud is an acknowledged pioneer in his field.

 

PHILIPPE JÜNGER

Vice President, Project Development

Eolectric’s Vice President, Project Development since March 2004, Philippe Jünger oversees new projects from inception through financing and is involved in relations with strategic partners and government representatives.

With more than 15 years of experience in the environmental field and over 10 years working specifically on the development of renewable energy projects, Philippe previously served as Vice President, Environment, for CHI Canada, a private electric power producer. In that capacity he was responsible for the set of environmental activities pertaining to small hydroelectric, cogeneration and biogas power stations, along with all wind-power development activities throughout Canada.

His education as a geographer, accompanied by supplemental training in project management and law, have endowed Philippe with wide-ranging skills as a developer of energy and environmental projects involving the deployment of cost-effective, wind-power systems of superior quality.

 

NANCY BARON, CA

Chief Financial Officer

As the Chief Financial Officer at Eolectric since April 2008, she is responsible for all the financial aspects of the company participating also in the strategic planning of its operations.  Nancy is a Chartered Accountant, bringing with her more than 20 years of financial experience in a variety of fields. For over 9 years, she was the Vice-President of Finance for Argo Global Capital, a venture capital firm investing worldwide in companies related to the wireless communications and the internet.

Over the course of her career, she has occupied various other functions at the financial level in a variety of companies such as Microcell Telecommunications, a public company operating a national network of mobile communications, Ogilvy Renault, a national-scale law firm and P.L. Capital, a financial services company specializing in leasing solutions. Nancy Baron began her career in 1988 at Deloitte & Touche, an internationally renowned accounting firm.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting (1989) as well as a certificate in Business Administration (1986) from the Université du Québec à Montréal.

 

VÉRONIK BONNEVILLE-PESANT

Director, Legal Affairs

Véronik Bonneville-Pesant is Director, Legal Affairs at Eolectric Inc.  As such, she participates in the negotiation of the corporation’s strategic partnerships and leads the drafting of all related agreements.  Furthermore, she acts as corporate secretary and is responsible for the coordination of all legal support required by the team members in the conduct of daily business ventures, including project development, from inception through to financing.

Prior to joining Eolectric’s team, she practised law for nearly ten years with a large Montreal firm, focusing on the fields of business transactions, commercial and corporate law and competition law, specializing in mergers and acquisitions as well as corporate reorganizations.  She also represented clients involved in venture capital financings.  She participated in the negotiation and execution of large-scale transactions involving national and international businesses and institutions.

Véronik Bonneville-Pesant is a member of the Quebec Bar, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Université de Montréal as well as a college diploma in paralegal technology in which she graduated first in her class.  She has been working in collaboration with the corporation as external counsel since 2003, and has become internal since September 2008.

 

RUBÉN CORTINA

Mexico Representative

With a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, Rubén is responsible for the company’s project development activities in Mexico including site identification, community relations, regulatory affairs and government relations.

Prior to joining Eolectric, Rubén worked for more than 10 years for projects in the energy sector in México, always with the challenge of participating in new technologies including Natural Gas and now Wind Power.

His prior experience includes working for multinational companies, such as TransCanada Pipelines and Gaz Natural México.  Through working with these firms, he has benefitted from the opportunity to develop the knowledge and knowhow from qualified and experienced professionals and now is looking to apply it in the Renewable Energies field in México.

DANIEL LECLAIR

Administrator

Daniel Leclair is a well-tested manager with a strong background in public and private sector cash management and financing. As Hydro-Québec’s Vice President, Finance and Chief, Financial Services from 1998 to 2005 and Vice President, Finance and Treasury from 1992 to 1998, he knows the national and international energy sectors, inside and out. Daniel previously worked for over 20 years in the banking sector for Montreal Trust, the Chase Manhattan Bank of Canada, the Caisse Centrale Desjardins and the Financial Bank of Canada.

 

TODD PRESSON

Director

Todd Presson is a seasoned manager with over 15 years’ experience in finance, technological assessment, market analysis and energy development. With a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont and an MBA in Technology Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Todd worked, prior to joining Eolectric, as a project manager for the American firm EnXco, which is active in the development of North American wind-power projects. He previously served as an investment and technology manager at KMS Mountain Energy Inc. and as Manager, Energy Services for Green Mountain Power Corporation in Vermont.

 

JEAN-LOUIS BRENNINKMEYER

Director

In charge, since 2002, of Good Energies Inc.’s renewable energy investment activities for North America, Jean-Louis Brenninkmeyer is actively involved in the management of six photovoltaic and wind energy businesses. Good Energies is one of the world’s largest investors in emerging renewable energy businesses. With a degree in marketing from Belgium’s University of Anvers, he was General Manager, Fossil Accessory Businesses for Comark Inc. and senior buyer for the 565 C&A stores, a European franchise.
